Words of President

Welcome to IdFE’s website, the representation office of the Ile-de-France region to the European Union, which I have been honoured to chair since June 2018.

The Ile-de-France Europe association was created in 1999 to promote and defend the Ile-de-France’s interests with European policymakers.

We represent several local authorities, including the Île-de-France Region; the departments of Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-d’Oise, and Yvelines; the Paris-Saclay and Marne-et-Gondoire urban communities; and Île-de-France Mobilités.

IdFE aims at:

  • facilitating and enhancing the participation of local entities and stakeholders in the Ile-de-France region in EU programs and financial tools;
  • enabling its members to develop lobbying strategies at the EU level to ensure that upcoming EU policies and programs meet the needs of the Ile-de-France region. This interface with European institutions is essential to keep local entities and regional stakeholders informed about developments in Brussels. Being fully aware helps them better understand the issues and participate in the decision-making process in a timely and relevant manner.

It is essential to establish communication with European institutions so that local entities and regional stakeholders can stay informed about developments in Brussels. Full awareness enables them to grasp the issues at stake more clearly and participate in the decision-making process promptly and effectively.
